Lawton = not good. He needs to be gone after this season. I wonder if Murton can lead off.

I'm sure he can't do worse than every other crappy lead-off option we've had this season.

Which is why Lofton was such a huge key to the 2003 playoff run.

Is it wrong that I just laughed when I flipped the game on and saw the score?

This has been about the least entertaining game all year. It's too bad the Cubs crowd doesn't just get up and leave at this point.

The leadoff spot in the order has been one immense black hole.

The good news is, since this is the first time the Cubs have seen Vargas, they're bound to hit him better next time. They just don't have a book on him yet. \:D/

WE have our leadoff man. Maybe he should lead off when playing 3b for ARam

Wow, Barrett's got a .333 average today. And that at-bat was just as meaningful as his one in the third.

Dude, he just scored a run! What's with the hatred for Barrett?

It's not hatred. I don't like or hate any of these guys as persons. It proves my point about Barrett and meaningful hits. Stats lie a lot of the time and batting average is the biggest liar of them all.
