I kind of hope that we win because I think Carlos deserves it. I also think that staying in any kind of Wild Card contention will only do more damage than good to this team. The sooner we are out the better in my opinion. Actually we are out only the team cant concead yet.

i'm getting so sick of baker's 'oh, it's a long season, there are a lot of games left' attitude. it seems to me that it's rubbed off on the team.

oh, don't worry about making all these mental errors...every team has games like that...there is still a lot of baseball to be played...etc, etc. this 'we'll get it together eventually' crap didn't work last year, and it ain't gonna work next year.

and just how BAD does hollandsworth have to be for murton to get a start? send him and cedeno down so i can at least watch them in iowa.

Well, now a national audience can see first hand the horror that is a Dusty Baker lineup...

Plus, we get to listen to Joe Morgan tell us how great of a manager Dusty is.

With Neifi at second we might also hear how Neifi is the best 2nd baseman in Cubs history.

You gotta get those lemons one start per week to keep them fresh. However, this does not apply if you are under 25 years of age. That's how they did it in the 60's, you know ?

I agree. WHy even have Cedeno and Murton on this team? It makes no sense. The Dusty logic is just killing me.

I agree. WHy even have Cedeno and Murton on this team? It makes no sense. The Dusty logic is just killing me.

What I don't understand is, why doesn't Hendry either tell Dusty to play them or send them down? It's obvious that what Dusty is doing to them is not good for their development. I've always though Jim was a pretty good GM, but maybe I was wrong.

For real, how does this guy have a job? I use to think a managers role in a teams performance was overrated... Dusty has changed that opinion. How can Walker not be starting 2b? How can Burnitz not be in center? If I were a cubs fan i'd be calling for henery's head to - having Macias and Perez on the team is just silly. I hope i'm not sounding like a troll but I really think henery is an overrated GM. The team he's built (that includes dusty) is broken - it's time to clean house.

Perez serves a purpose - but it's as late inning defense, spot starting or pinch hitting. Macias imho serves no purpose that a minor leaguer couldn't handle.

Agreed. He especially should not be on a roster that Dusty Baker manages. Cedeno could easily replace Neifi. I could probably replace him offensively, my D might be a little shaky though.

Maybe you were looking at his 2nd base defense on BP. I dislike Neifi, but his defensive numbers at short are actually pretty good.
