This poll is about what you THINK Greg Maddux will get into the HOF as. Not who you want to, because I know we all want it to be Cubs..

This is the part where I want a hall of famer get in representing 2 teams.

But seriously, Greg Maddux got his 300th win as a Cub.. with most of those wins being with the Braves.

Oh wait! He also got his 3,000th strikeout as a Cub.. with most of them with who, BRAVES!

As much as I'd love him to get into a HOF as a Cub, he will probably get into as a Brave.

Any other opinions?

Braves. No doubt. He won his ring w/ them, 3 Cy Youngs, and 11 Gold Gloves, plus all his years in his prime were w/ Atlanta, plus he left Tribune on bitter terms in 1992.

Yeah I would say he would be in as a brave no doubt.

His hall of fame type season were basically his last 5 with the cubs and the first 10 with the braves.

I don't think it's up to Maddux to decide.

Correct. They basically took the choice away from the players back when Boggs (I think?) wanted to go in as a D-Ray?

They need to take the caps off the players and just list the teams they played for. Free Agency has made the whole "player represented one team" thing out of the picture (with the notable exceptions of guys like Ripken, Biggio, Jeter, Gwynn)

The voters will want Maddux in because of his ring he got with Atlanta IMO.

I dont know what team he would choose. I would guess Atlanta because of his ring and CY youngs.

While Maddux doesn't get to choose, he can make his preference known.

But that should be irrelevant as the call won't be close enough to take into account Maddux's decision, and Maddux doesn't seem the type to make a call like that.

Two people picked the cubs.

Someone please give me one reason why he would go in as a cub?

Becuase he's going to spark the Cubs to the Wild card, go undefeated in the post season, and throw a no-hitter in the World series game 5 at Wrigley to win the series.

There's more features than just emoticons as far as board features go. There's some more bbcode options, the ignore feature, and some others that I'm surely missing

Yes. Ads. As in all the banners and such at the top and bottom of non premium pages.

and the fact that you're not supporting a website that costs a lot to run (unless you're clicking lots of ads)

I know how that is. I rely on people to donate money to run my website too (though I don't support nearly this much bandwidth)

Definitely the Braves, no question about it. His Braves numbers warrant Hall of Fame induction even without his Cubs numbers. The converse is not true; his Cub numbers without his Brave numbers would justify a couple of All-Star selections, but by themselves aren't HOF worthy.
