Go Pinto!

Billek has the rep of throwing strikes -- and he has been present for the last 2 triple-plays in the Cubs organization. It would be nice to see the Chiefs run continue.

What's up with Jesus Yepez? I don't know anything about him, other than he's been pitching a lot lately.

Well, he's all of two months older than me and two inches shorter. 19 strikeouts to 11 walks in 29.1 IP isn't all that impressive, but he has yet to give up a HR.

Ugh, only 1,256 at the park to see Nomar. Ron sounds very disappointed and he should be. If Jackson loses the Diamond Jaxx then today will be worth remembering.

Haha that is pathetic! Maybe it would be best for the Cubs to get a Double-A affiliate closer to Chicago, where people would support the team more.

that really is pathetic. heck, there's usually 4x that many people in peoria just for any ol' weekend game. there was upwards of 9,000 in peoria to see nomar.

It's a really sad situation. I was sure that the Jaxx would average at least 4-5K per game. I have no clue as to how to explain this one.

Closer to chicago? Heck no! Take advantage of the Cubs nation wide follwing and move them to the west coast. That way they have a warm weather AA affilate for those people coming back from injuries during Spring. That and I could watch them 8) I say Palm Springs would be a good place.

I want to remind everyone that we have a bunch of Q & A sessions running with the Diamond Jaxx. Let's make sure to give all of the guys a bunch of great questions! Thanks!

I noticed that the Bass Fishing championships were on ESPN2 today... maybe everyone stayed home to watch that? Or Nascar maybe?

I have started putting pictures from the Nomar interview in the interview thread. I'll probably put all of the pictures in that thread, even the BP and game pictures. What I cannot get up this afternoon I'll post tonight.

On a Sunday (which means most people can't use work as an excuse) with Nomar playing I would have expected a LOT bigger crowd. Maybe most people were at home watching Sandberg's Hall of Fame induction on TV (that's what I was doing, so I missed watching today's outstanding Cubs game :D ).

No, they should definately come back down to Midland where they've played before. It's still over a 2 hour drive but I'd definately go to more games.

Believe me, you didn't miss much. I was there.
