I've been asked to do a surprise game thread, hopefully the mojo will bring us a 'W', and Hendry can git-r-Dunn. Bear with me, it's my first thread. Onto the matchup:

It'll be 90, sunny, and the wind will be blowing out at 5-10 mph. And despite being in attendance, I hope Lee gets the day off...finally.

If they don't win this game, the homestand goes from bad to painful.

In 21.2 career innings against us, Webb has given up 4 ER. Yes 4. Do the math, the ERA is pretty good. Add that to the lackluster offense, and tomorrow looks like :pukel:

Hot, windy day, one pitcher gives up a lot of ground balls, and beats us regularly, and the other pitchet is Maddux.

:(

Not that anyone cares, but my non-yearly trip to Wrigley takes place tomorrow. Just to jinx everything, I'll go ahead and say that I'm undefeated in attended games, although it's a tiny sample size (4-0). I also haven't posted on the first page of any game threads to date this season, so maybe this will shake things up a bit. And if Lee sits, I'll be quite upset.

Having said that, I look forward to an inevitable discussion on the merits of [brackets] vs. (parentheses) & their respective mojo-inducing qualities when used in game thread titles. . .

Record: 6-3

I remember quite vividly how much Gonzo destroys Maddux.

However, I was unaware as to the degree Green owns Maddux.

I have a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad feeling about this game.

I just heard the lineup again and apparently, Barrett is 8th so Gerut and Perez move up a slot.

Will reverse psychology work? I'm glad Dusty isn't giving Lee a day off.

Wow. Absolutely no one talking about the game. That's surprising.

LOL, I'm too busy listening to and reading rumors (while keeping an eye to the game).

Posted
anyone else think d-lee has been watching a lot of really good pitches go by lately? might be time for a day off...

When the season is over don't be surprised if ARam's numbers are better than Lee.
