Is it possible that Murton was traded and that's why he is out of the game or I am just waaaaay over-analyzing everything since the trading deadline is here?

What a bunch of crap!

Hollandsworth PH'ing for Murton!

Are you on drugs?

He was pinch hitting for Rusch.

Christ, you're hollandsworth hating is getting old, especially when it's so blatantly ridiculous and wrong. There are enough situations to get on Hollandsworth and Dusty about, you don't need to be incorrect to do it.

Jeez, no need to have a tizzy, I forgot about the double switch.

Ridiculous and wrong? Anyone with eyes can see that Hollandsworth has not helped much. Aparrently you have not watched the Cubs much this year.

From your signature I see that you love both Dusty and Hollandsworth

No, In fact, I hate both. Dusty seems to love Hollandsworth though.

Cedeno is not having a good day
Cedeno is looking grossly overmatched today.

if he'd get a chance to play regularly then maybe he'd do better

Overanalyzed. Dusty made a double-switch in the 6th so he could leave Ohman in for the 7th. Ohman proceeded to give up a walk and a HR in the 7th.

That would be quite the coincidence, since he had just hit and the pitcher's spot was due up.

The 2nd guessing on this board is getting really old. There were no posts after the double-switch was made, only after Hollandsworth struck out. Nobody complained about Ohman being in for the 2nd inning until after the Gonzalez HR.

Yes, the Cubs are frustrating right now. It's very easy to see that this team is very, very tired right now. Playing in that heat in St. Louis took a lot out of them and it is showing. I look for them to have a lot more energy after the off day Monday. Hopefully, it's after no worse than a 2-2 weekend.

IMB! called out the double switch from the moment it happened.

Yes he did. And you will note that he was not among the ones continually harping on it after it didn't work out. Others that were silent before, however . . .

Kid just had a rough day is all. I hope the fan base allows a player to have a bad day without resorting to boos, though.

Actually he did, in baseball discussions.

The problem is that Dusty will use his performance today to justify (in his mind) cutting his PT even more.

He's not going to play everyday on this team so he better make the use of his starts.

well this game doesn't appear to be ours today.

at least were still going to be 3 back of the WC.

Once Houston takes over the WC, we won't be getting many freebies like today.

I like the Mets, and Pedro's, chances tonight against their high ERA rookie.

Good call - let's go Pedro!

In fact, if you just look at the starters for the Astros/Mets series it's hard to argue against the Mets taking 2 of 3.
