God, we suck. How is it that we have the same problem, year after year? We have to wait on a home run to score more than once or twice.

I'm sick of getting owned by inferior teams at home.

Shake, shake your loooove!

Gah! The 80's!

Actually, I like 80's music.

No worries. I love 80's music. The cheesiness makes it good!

He just tripped. I don't think that the minor league coaches should be blamed for that.

I thought the 80's were pretty good times. Having said that, I get good laughs out of picture of me from those days.

Neifi hitting .357 with 2 outs and runners in scoring position since June 1

Get one here!

What kind of Cubs fan wastes his time looking up stats like that? Don't you know that Neifi is just plain terrible and shouldn't be in the major leagues?

Um...Neifi is plain terrible as an everyday SS on a contending team. Stats like that are usually aberrations.

It probably wasn't you, USSoccer, but I recall a ton of posters on this site saying that Hendry was an idiot for signing Perez after he was cut by the

Giants. Neifi didn't deserve to play in the majors. He was another team's reject. No one, at that time, qualified any of their statements the way you just did. I wish they had.

Whats the difference? He's still bad either way.

No, you are missing the point. The difference is that the original post wasn't intended to comment on Neifi's value as a player. It was a satirical comment on how some posters on this site brand a player worthless and then stick to it no matter what. Wild overly negative statements are acceptable on this site to some, but overly positive statement are laughed at by everyone. The original post was a comment on the double standard that exists amongst many Cubs fans.

He is bad at getting on base, though, isn't he?

there are people with more physical limitations than a professional athlete who could have ran the bases better than that.

As do I, but then again I was born in 1981.

I have to say, my parents were definitely good at outfitting me in very short shorts.

I agree the baserunning mistakes were bad, but fair umpiring and the score is tied 2-2 minimum.

Mitre is officially NOT a relief pitcher.

He tripped rounding third. It was costly because he should have scored and the game would be tied at the least. I dont see how a base coach would have made a difference, he simply lost his footing.

On the replay, it looked like he tripped before he even hit the bag anyways.
