OMFG just send Cedeno down instead of rotting him on the bench.

Who would you rather have as a back-up SS? Enrique Wilson??

Cedeno starting SS, Perez back-up until Garciaparra comes back.

Dusty has already made it known that Neifi is his starting SS, so it's repeditively annoying everytime Cedeno is not in the line-up,someone has to complain about it. It is what it is, so get use to it. BTW, I would also rather see Cedeno in there everyday, but you don't here me b&c about it everyday.

Add Nate Frese to the 40-man and make him the backup to Neifi. Return Ronny to AAA and let him play everyday.

only info I could find on Frese:

Nate Frese, who was invited to Cubs camp as a non-roster player, broke his leg in a farm accident last week. He's expected to miss the entire season.

Frese must have broken the leg in multiple places. The 26-year-old minor league veteran wasn't considered a real candidate to make the Cubs out of spring training.

I like moving Barrett up in the lineup out of the 8 spot.

I think Murton will be patient and have the same approach wherever he hits in the lineup, so he's alright hitting 8th. Barrett hacks at the first pitch remotely close when he's down there.

Well taking walks in the 8th spot isn't that important. (Normally, unless he's leading off the inning)

Yeah but I'm not just talking about walks. Barrett just isn't as good of a hitter in the 8 spot as he is higher in the lineup. When he's hitting 8th he often chases a bad pitch, when he's higher he waits for a pitch he can drive.

I think Murton will maintain his approach anywhere in the lineup, which is always a positive.

i'm sick of neifi, but i'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of him until nomar is back and proves himself to Dusty.

poor Cedeno. kid has a breakout year and he's called up and gets a whoppin' 36 ABs. that will help him develop.

Yeah.... but is he hitting better because he's higher in the order.... or is he higher in the order cause he's hitting better ??

It's important for young players to WATCH older players and learn. See my sig.

Ronny Cedeno has been on the big league roster for a total of 40 games and he has 7 starts on the season. What a tragically stupid misuse of young talent. He could not possibly have been handled any more poorly. Hendry needs to wake up and get Ronny back to Iowa.

He should have never called him back up to begin with, but it's likely too late to add someone to the 40-man roster if Nomar could be back in two weeks. Williamson's timeline is 1-3 weeks and who knows what other moves Hendry might make, so I'd imagine Hendry will just stick with Cedeno until Nomar is ready to be activated.

anyone else sick of seeing opposing catchers pulling balls back into the zone and the ump falling for it? that second pitch to Hairston was not a strike.

way to go Todd.
