Prior's 48 pitches through 3 innings is obscene.

?

I don't follow.

I just expect too much from him I guess. He has 5 Ks, so that accounts for a larger number of pitches. But, at the same time, I'd like to see him go as deep as possible and with his elbow still being injured, high PCs don't really allow for that.

and prior gets a hit thank you chris speier.

It's no guarantee he gets a hit. Its good, aggressive baseball with two outs and the pitcher's spot up. It took a perfect throw to get the out.

Bingo, it took two perfect throws to get Neifi, and he was right at the plate when the throw arrived. I'd rather try to get the run and risk leading off with the pitcher than count on the pitcher to drive in that run.

after the Giles incident i get scared seeing prior standing on 1st.

Lets hope someone hits a HR so he doesn't have to run through people again.

Amazing what can happen when you put people where they belong in a lineup.

16 pitches per inning gets him thru 6 easy, it only takes one short inning to stretch that further. He hasn't really been wild, his excess pitches have been foul balls mostly. Hard for me to blame him for that.

Feel free to use this power again.

I get what you are saying I just would usually prefer to get the pitcher out of the way to clear the next inning.
