Okay I leave to run some errands, come back, and Henry Blanco is tearing it up!?

 

Did they say why he changed his jersey number or no?

 

He's trying to become a faster runner. He knows that Rickey Henderson wore 24 for a long time.

oh god dusty will have him leading off if he hears that. speed is everything dude.

Yes, 24 was his number in winter ball, and he did good there. So he changed it to that.

 

Oh, and the bottom of our order (7-8-9) is 6 for 6 today.....

people (not bob or len) think that it means we are getting an incoming player, probably via trade. there is a list of current players with the #9 on page 15 of this thread. :D

 

Pat and Ron said something about 24 being his winter ball number.

 

 

I know people are kidding around, but if somebody is going to give up his number to a new acquisition, they are going to wait until that player gets here and offers them some sort of payment for the jersey.

7-8-9 is now an impressive 6 for 6 :shock:

 

and just as unusual the other teams pitcher has a higher pitch count than ours. i don't know what's going on here, but i like it!!

Pfft, Carlos Guillen requires a one week waiting period of no one having his jersey before he can take it.
