Not to be picky but the Prior of old never seemed to struggle (but I get your point).

I understand, the three walks are a concern, but he's still not 100% either. I'm just glad to see a starter go this late in the game. After our bullpen was abused for a while, they need the extended rest.

Hopefully they can get a nice week or two of consistent 7 inning outings, and they can get rid of the extra bullpen spot.

I like the fact that Pittsburgh's first guy out of the pen has to throw 40-50 pitches...gotta figure that he won't be available tomorrow...

Given his 10+ ERA I'm guessing his job was mop up duty. And that guy should throw that much in these situations. What I don't like is that the offense hasn't scored off him yet.

Bad strike out Aramis. You must protect the plate.

did you see his reaction? It was almost like he forgot to swing that was a pitch he needs to crush

Most runners would have gone on that WP. It's their third or 4th today (I think) and each one has been really wild. I think D hesitated just enough to get nipped at the plate. Edited by Blueheart05

I think the booing was for poor execution. Lee was at 3rd with no outs and he didnt score. Getting Aramis to strike out was huge with the rookie behind him.

Yeah, he must have been looking for something else but with 2 strikes he knows he should be hacking.

It might have been leftover from the ump's call.

If they really are booing Murton though I hate Cubs fans even more now.
