Jaims Martínez went 2/4 with a double. Enrique Oropeza went 2/4 with a homer.

Mule was very good through 5 and then started getting a little dodgy in the 6th

Feels like he's had a lot of outings like this.  I'm really excited to see him next year.  It feels like he's at an inflection point where an offseason of conditioning might nudge him over the edge (in a good way).

This was his second game in three days.  I was reading in the Athletic the last day or two that the last box for him to check is upping the frequency and making sure he recovers properly.  My guess is he gets back to backs soon (next week?) and once he does he's back up in the bigs.

Lance did an interview with Conrad and he said there was "some soreness from travel" but should start playing by end of week

Yeah, I get sore from traveling, but, I'm 62. 

Probably is more the Cubs being extra-super-duper cautious than it is on Conrad.  Given the rash of injuries can't say I blame them.

I get it. Traveling sucks for all ages. Especially if he took a bus. Why not be cautious considering his injury issues?

He had back issues, right? Could just be being extra cautious.

Yeah, it sounds minor but it also is another bump or bruise for a guy who has missed tons of time with injury.
