The Cubs have an entire roster of good players, but no superstars in either the rotation or lineup.  Kinda not acceptable for a GM in what, his 5th or 6th season.

There was none of this talk when they won 20 of 23. Also the Brewers have owned this division for 7 years without a superstar.

That's true.

I'm still very bullish on this team.  It's just frustrating to think they are 1 (albeit major) piece away.  Hopefully this is a happy trade deadline.

Whoa whoa whoa!!! Friggin blasphemy just spoken
“Happy birthday to the best second baseman to ever grace the position.”

I love Nico, but that is just wrong

Love Nico but he's objectively not even the best 2B in the division

Outside of pitching,  I think Hoyer might look for a bat. Mo Ballesteros been good but he a rookie and if he doesn't rebound from this current cold spell soon they're going to need to look into adding a bat

That's what I'm hoping for if Mo doesn't turn into that guy.

I'm also starting to like the idea of both corner OF positions opening up this off-season.  Keep one or the other between Happ/Suzuki and then go all in to get a star caliber outfielder that can slug.

horsefeathers brutal. When is Bregman going to heat up?

Crazy to see them with 27 wins when they have 6 regulars barely hitting
