How quickly do we go from the SEC patting themselves on the back for all the P5 OOC games they schedule to just going back to filling up with Marist and The Citadel?

Next year when they go to 9 conference games

The 2 biggest games yesterday were boring. Thats my biggest take from week 1.

Prediction for next week, Alabama will not drop as far as they should, Florida St will be ranked much higher than they should

They are still requiring a power-conference OOC game even with the 9-game move. The B1G once claimed to (though teams violated it pretty regularly), but quietly got rid of it when the CFP went to 12 teams.

Good for them. Hope B1G goes back to doing it.

OSU will jump PSU to #1, Texas and Clemson will fall to the 8-10 range, LSU might jump into the top 10

I'm pretty sure Illinois' OOC plan over the next 10 years is effectively one P4 game (6 of them are Missouri in a Home-Road-Neutral rotation, and Duke next year at home), one directional Illinois team (rotating between Eastern, Western, Southern, and ISU), and one lower tier FBS team (usually a MAC team but I could see them sneaking NIU in there who is technically going to be in the Mountain West).

I'm pretty sure LSU will jump from #9 into the top 10 yes.

My bad, I had it in my head they were #14 for some reason.

Here's how I think the top 10 will shake out after today (assuming ND beats Miami):

1. Ohio State
2. Penn State
3. Georgia
4. Notre Dame
5. Texas
6. LSU
7. Oregon
8. Clemson
9. Arizona State
10. Illinois

If Miami wins, I think Miami jumps ND and Clemson and ND falls to 9.

I wouldn't underestimate how much pollsters are going to overestimate FSU

Hmmmm

Watching Arch’s godhood denied and Bama go down in flames was pretty darn exciting from where I was sitting.

Not a safe bet (so far)

My guess for tomorrow's poll:

1. Ohio State
2. Penn State
3. Georgia
4. LSU
5. Miami
6. Oregon
7. Texas
8. Clemson
9. Notre Dame
10. Illinois

What a weird game. Every ND fan went in assuming everyone on the team was great and Carr would just have to not lose the game and instead Carr was quite good and basically everybody else was bad. I'm not sure Miami is great, but they played really well for 3 quarters and didn't make any big mistakes. They're probably the best in the ACC as it stands now.

Schedule isn't good enough to lose again and get in IMO, so it's back to being against the wall for 11 straight games similar to last year.

It’s tough when you open against a quality opponent.  Win and your season is shot out of a gun, lose and it’s a weight on your back the rest of the way.  That was a good football game to watch.

UNC did look good for about 90 seconds tonight.

I happened to see the score at one point when it was 7-7. Guess it was all downhill from there.
