Thoughts on Texas vs tOSU. And ND-Miami this weekend?

These seem to be the most intriguing matchups

I like Texas because they have a QB with some experience. Plus I think OSU seems to struggle a bit early season, while I think Texas seems to peak early.

ND, no great reason why except recent results

OSU fans are crying about being ranked 3rd to start, but their starting QB has like 87 career passing yards. They won last year on the back of a transfer and haven't done a great job of recruiting a QB since Justin Fields graduated. Kyle McCord was meh, then was meh at Syracuse, and just got cut in training camp

All college pregame shows have sucked since the beginning of time.

All sports talk shows of any kind are a waste of time and brain cells.

(the obvious exception being the postgame / highlights after winning the championship)

CJ Stroud was pretty good.

I just seen that 4 B1G teams played last night. I had no clue. Not sure how this fairs for my favorite conference.

TBF while they all ended up winning, some of their early-game performances suggested they may not have known they were playing either.

In a mostly academic 52-3 win for the Illini over Western Illinois, Hank Beatty managed to break D1's longest return TD drought (first return TD since 2013), as well as break Red Grange's 102 year old return yards record for the program.

Farewell to Lee Corso, effectively the last of the earnest football commentators for college. It was time, though, he looked pretty rough out there today.

Now we move forward to the douchbro era, highlighted by Dave Portnoy and Pat McAfee.

Please God no.  Why does anyone watch these people?

20ish yrs ago I enjoyed the last hour of Gameday. It has steadily gone downhill since its beginning though. I won't ever go, but I think it would be cool if Illinois is undefeated when they play OSU and finally get it

Anyone able to tell me how bad Northwestern is this year?  I want to be encouraged by Tulane’s performance.

They're probably the 17th best team in the B1G.

Basically the equivalent of East Carolina as a team.

Bama looking to be this year's 2024 Florida State.

How quickly do we go from the SEC patting themselves on the back for all the P5 OOC games they schedule to just going back to filling up with Marist and The Citadel?
