This team would be in a better place right now if they had just kept David Ross.

He had some fire, and the Cubs had some fire as well.   This team looks listless.

Ehhh.. Ross had no fire and was a terrible manager when he actually had to manage his guys

This team isn’t in a slump it’s just doing exactly as it has the last 3 years . It’s what this offense is. Please stop with the Tucker finger excuse for his crap play. This team is what they are

Well the season still has a ways to go.  But it sure looks like the real “leader” of the. Brewers - for years - has been Murphy,, and Counsell was just along for the ride.

With how much worse the Cards' lineup is against lefties than righties, and with Sonny Gray going Sunday, you realllly want to get this one in.  Win tonight and split the next two.

Cubs will be lucky to get A WIN this series the way their bats are at the moment. They are in a bad way right now.
Im not being negative- just a realist. Milwaukee is hands down a better team than Chicago is this season. They dealt with injuries in their pitching staff early on too, but they have made adjustments throughout the year to address their needs, while the Cubs simply did not.

I believe the division is an afterthought; making playoffs may be harder than some fans would like to admit too. They are spiraling and unraveling at the seams. Struggling on multiple fronts at the moment. Yes - baseball is a game of streaks, but I feel this is much more than a “bad streak.”

PCA and Horton being developed into possible superstars is enough for me to think Counsell is a great manager.  The talent is just not good enough, especially in the rotation and bullpen

Thank you for stating the truth! Lol

no excuses- this team is beyond slumping; they’re doing what they did the last two seasons. The division is an afterthought, and making playoffs is slowly becoming more and more distant as well. Tucker isn’t worth what they’re saying he would be worth lol - PCA has no plate discipline and the team is coming apart piece by piece. It’s a shame. Frustrating to watch them

You’d think a GM would be on the verge of being fired for having 3 straight seasons where the team collapsed in August and September
