And they, unlike the Cubs, are hitting those middle middle FB's and hanging breaking balls.  Baseball is unique in that the regular season is a collection of local maxima and minima, the Cubs are in a local minima.  At some point, I know it feels like it never happen, a local maxima will happen for Cubs.

Feels like we’ve been waiting for that offensive maxima since June 1.

Brewers leading 3-0. Because of course they are.

Yep, we need to win today or we'll be down 3 games...just like that. Pressure is  on.

Rea's keeping the ball down this is good sign he'll be able to keep the Cubs in the game.  Now, if only the bats could get going.

Why would Tucker be bunting?!

I believe his finger is really bothering him and, rather than make an unproductive out, chose to be productive.

Tucker bunting with no outs and man on second and first inning, and Kelly trying to take 3 bases on a double.  WTH?

What is going on with his finger?

Counsell needs a new 3B coach, I dont care if theres 2 outs and they've been struggling for runs , that was a terrible send with a slow footed catcher.

I'd take my chances with Castro up with runners on 2nd and 3rd

The aggressive sends that work tend to go unnoticed

Exactly. No one said anything about the send on the shallow sac fly in game one. Why? Because a bad throw allowed the Cubs to score. This time a perfect relay cut Kelly down. If he had a 35% chance to score it was right to send him.

They mentioned during the broadcast yesterday he’s been dealing with a finger injury for awhile now. I guess hitting something like .210 since.

So the good news is Tucker doesn’t suddenly stink. The bad news is we don’t know what the injury is or how long it will impact him. William Contreras has played through a fractured finger all year and you can see how much it’s impacted his bat

How did you feel about the send in game one? Shallow fly to right.
