Interesting, he was a big bonus kid. At 17 years old, he's forever and a year away. As it pertains to IFA SS's the Cubs usually get one or two every year who have big bonuses and still kept Tomas and Cabada. 

There's a chance this is our Fernando Tatis. But more likely he's our Reggie Preciado.

I have no earthly idea why the Orioles didn't take an arm back instead.  You have Rockies-caliber pitching, two months of low leverage innings on tap, and are about to free up like seven 40 man spots this deadline.  They should have gotten like Ethan Roberts and Connor Noland back or something.

Unlike those two, his peripherals don't suck. Still, I'm not sure he's worth the 9M.
