That most definitely would be his reasoning if he chooses to bring in a mid level starter that barely moves the needle for they rotation.  He'll tell everyone how the have a top guy in Imanaga and an Allstar in Boyd leading the staff and felt how they just needed a guy to be an innings eater in the middle of rotation to balance them out.
