He deserves criticism that bullpen games are even a thing.

Getting out of that with just two runs is a small victory. Wind is blowing out. Cubs have the better offense. This game could be 4-2 by the start of the 2nd.

I hate the whole 'opener' BS. Pomeranz has done OK with it this year but the Cards are seeing blood after yesterday's humiliation. I don't like Wicks that much either but at least he's a starting pitcher fer crissakes, now we're down two already due to Pomeranz's worst outing of the year. We need to be more patient with Liberatore today and let him get his pitch count up where they have to go to the pen by the 5th/6th

The modern GM does a lot of prospect hugging, that's for sure.  I could understand it in past seasons but they need to go for it this year
