Velocity doesn't seem to bother the Cubs all that much, they can handle it, key is Misiorowski' control.  I expect the Cubs will attempt to grind at-bats out, draw some BB's and get to Misiorowski.

Misiorowski is a very very good pitching prospect, but even most tippy top prospects don't have amazing performance right away.  Just look at Horton, he's got good not great numbers despite an absolute cupcake of a schedule to this point.

Skenes was pretty good right out the gate, we all saw it, biggest difference is this guy doesn't have Skenes' control.  It's to bad Skubal is going tonight, Skubal - Skenes tomorrow would have been fun.

Hah, yes Skenes is the exception to every rule, isn't he? Just an unbelievable talent.

Him and Skubal both great stuff + control == almost unhittable.  Skubal has issued 9 BB in 90+ innings...

My espn app says a doubleheader tomorrow.

Edit - it was just changed to 8/18 in the app.

This could help us right?

Maybe we don’t face Peralta now?

Maybe, but the Brewers could really use this game. I’m guessing they’d rather pitch their better more proven pitcher who has historically dominated the Cubs and push their rookie back to Friday
