Even very, very mediocre lineups, such as the Reds, can do well against poor pitching.

Ben Brown is the definition of "poor pitching"

Wouldn't be shocking at all if the Cubs manage to get the tying run up to plate at some point in this game.

Likely with 2 outs in the 9th and McGuire will be up 😅

I think it's time to skip his next turn, send him to Iowa with the thought of moving him to bullpen when he returns.  Maybe give Flexen a shot, he's probably terrible but, he'll throw strikes and that counts.

Id like to see how he can do coming out of the pen the rest of season after Imanaga returns, he might be affective for an inning or two, maybe even once through an order if needed.

In off season work on that 3rd pitch for him, and control, and see if that can help keep him in the rotation going forward.

Very, very fortunate that bounced off the wall and stayed in the field of play, instead of bouncing over the wall into the seats. Allowed PCA to score instead of standing on 3rd.

We certainly made a pretty bad offense look good this weekend. So far they have 20 runs.

Combination of bad pitching and a few Reds hitters currently over performing.  Mainly, it's the bad pitching.

Damn, who cursed the Catchers this weekend.

Gonna need the top of order to do some damage today, maybe McGuire will have one of those wasn't supposed to play but ended up getting a big hit or two for them today.

Good call

McGuire was released by the Cubs and could have signed with any other team but came back a couple of days ago only to find himself in the majors with a multi HR game lol
