If Ballesteros is killing it and Happ is ready to return, that’s probably a situation where Busch may get pushed to 3B. One of Turner/Brujan/Nicky get the boot in that scenario

It is possible, but I think it isn’t very likely. I don’t see the Cubs moving Busch to 3rd. He has done so well at 1st. And who know if Ballestaros could even be ok at 1st.

Ballestaros has played 1 game at 1b this year and 8 last year.  And based on his weight i imagine he's not going to be a cat out there like Busch.  Not sure they try it.

Might not hurt to try though if Berti keeps hitting poorly like as of late.  We know Busch can handle catching balls at a corner position but we don't know how he throws.

Busch almost assuredly cannot keep up defensively at 3b. If he could, it wouldn't be starting now, it'd have happened sometime last year when Morel couldn't, either.

We gotta stop pretending the not-3b is a 3b.

Strong first from Brown. Key for him is getting ahead. Hes very predictable when behind, but getting ahead allows him to use his two pitch mix with deception. More of that, especially against a bad lineup.

One positive to Dansby hitting sixth is I don’t think we’ve seen him suck while hitting sixth this year.

Dansby's been mashing since they first moved him to the 8th spot.  wRC+ up to 117 for the season.

And that’s my point. He couldn’t hit in the 5 spot, then moved down and he started hitting everything. I just hope that moving him up doesn’t ruin his routine and he goes back to early season Dansby.

I wouldn't worry about it. Even if we want to go with the thought that hitters hit better in different spots in the order (not something I really subscribe to), Swanson's best wRC+ over his career is in the 6th spot. His second worst is the 8 spot.

Swanson will eventually cool off. But thats because he's always a streaky hitter.

I don’t care where Dansby hits. I am just glad he is hitting so the dumb comments about him being another Heyward signing could stop for a bit. His war is about what you would expect after 40+!games and he is trending to a 4+ war yet again. So maybe people will be quiet for a while.

Give it three weeks. We are a cyclical bunch.
