AKME turned down an offer of Ball for Memphis’ unprotected 2025 first rounder (which ended up being 16th overall) and ended up trading Ball straight up for Okoro. Just poor asset management.

AKME’s strategy is getting young vets who have some playoff experience but have fallen out of favor with teams with loftier aspirations. Would be a decent strategy if they were much better at player development. They’re just trying to lock in that play-in ceiling instead of getting more picks. Kumainga fits this profile too.

no picks, of course

And why would you want them with picks?  Haven't the Bulls and Karnisovas shown they're incapable of a quality draft?  Remind me, what has Karnisovas done well to be hired and extended by the Bulls?  He must have done something well in the past to merit hiring by the Bulls.

Kept money lining the old decrepit ghoul's pockets.

With the bulls moving away from OTA to a channel I don't have, and the trading of Lonzo for nothing, if they sign giddey to a huge contract that might do it for me for a while.

How anyone is still a fan of this team, I have no idea.  There is no hope at all.

Every other Chicago team at least seems to have a semblance of a plan, some moreso than others, but even the White Sox you could see (if you squint hard enough) maybe eventually developing a competitive team through their farm system.

The Bulls are just completely lost, with their ceiling constantly stuck at borderline playoff team and their floor...  well, pretty much the same.

They can continue to hope to strike lottery gold, despite not giving themselves a realistic chance to do so.  But that is not a plan.  And they don't deserve to be bailed out by a lottery miracle.  Let them continue to do the same thing year after year.  Maybe, just maybe, people will eventually stop going to the games.  Until then, there is no reason to think anything is ever going to change.

I’m still technically a Bulls fan and will always be because I find it weird and difficult to all the sudden be a fan of another team. So ride or die with the Bulls. The issue is, since I can’t switch teams, I’ve just been mostly ignoring the NBA the last few years because I don’t care to watch the Bulls games.

White Sox fans don’t go to the games either and that never pushed Reinsdorf to make an effort to put a good team on the field year after year

It just made him complain and campaign against other franchises that actually spent money.

It’s the little things that help a franchise turn a corner.

So they play that many times better or worse

I know I'm not going to be able to avoid purchasing the CHSN streaming app for the Blackhawks, so I'll probably tune into quite a few Bulls games, but it won't be fun.

I'm setting my over/under for total minutes of Bulls games watched this year at 45.

I'm taking the under (for myself)
