I’ve seen this mentioned a couple of times during the offseason by the media (issues with Xfinity and Marquee) but now that we’re getting close to the season and media are still reporting these things it’s worth a discussion:

It's weird how silent everything has been, as it had previously been reported that the Marquee deal with Xfinity expired at the end of the 2024 season.  If there was truly a risk of Marquee not being available for the start of the season, it seems like one side or the other would be making noise by now.

Also Comcast and all the Diamond networks settled I believe?  Like I remember things with the Braves got pretty ugly for a bit there.

I know Marquee's like a step sibling to those networks, but I kind of assumed when that all worked out that Comcast/Marquee would inevitably get it figured out.

My experience with these things is that it usually doesn't become public until really shortly before the deadline.

Everything I have read seems to suggest that this deal is going to get done, but it will likely involve Marquee getting moved up to the more expensive Ultimate tier.

As long as I still get it with MLB.tv I’m good.

I've been pretty happy with casting Marquee to my tv via my phone. I do have a couple of Fire Sticks and I haven't tried those yet, but if they work better, I may have to invest in a few more Fire Sticks. I have noticed some blips with casting, but maybe I just need to close out all of my apps and reboot my phone before casting.

I think the way the media is going these days.  Most if not everyone I know is streaming their content.  With the addition of Hulu and YouTube TV  it would be to Marquee's benefit to jump into their Channel Lineup.  If not most people will subscribe to Marquee and Stream from a device to their Smart Screens. I did this year and it was good.  I would prefer that they move with YouTube TV.

I've been reading that those streaming channels aren't interested in having local type channels. But, I'm no expert on the subject. I just know that CHSN won't be on there like NBC Sports Chicago was.

Anyway, welcome to NSBB!

Comcast and Diamond settled but the settlement was that Diamond was demoted to a sports tier package that users need to add on to their cable package. It's likely Marquee is fighting the same fight (and let's face it, these RSNs *should* be in an additional sports tier).
