Not that I want him, but are they even interviewing Thomas Brown?

Poles said he would.  But Browns already getting OC requests.  I kind of imagine Poles has already told him it's not happening.... Who knows.

Conan O'Brien had an interview a number of years ago on this subject.  Per Conan, there is an unspoken rule in jokes where something is usually funny the first 3 times you do it, after which point it starts getting old.  However, there is also a threshold a joke can cross where the joke can actually become funny again if you keep doing it another 10-15 times, the classic example being:

This feels appropriate for the topic and the thread.

That’s the David Letterman rule

TUNZI TRUTH :it really dont matter who the coach is ,this is a half ass organization who is thinking really about 7 years down the road for a chance at another Super Bowl with their main focus the property in Arlington Heights. They are going to build there no matter what trick plays the Dummies are using on the MEDIA and the  City of Arlington Heights , to get the property tax down. The dummies aren't even good at that or at least to me when they do these phony announcements that they may go back to downtown Chicago it will never happen i repeat never happen there going to ARLINGTON so sit back and get secrewd and aggravated if you choose to continue to watch The Dummies and the new Coach who will be picked by what salary cap he will except that's why you had these and still have Coaches who are cheap to get .Ditka was right when he said that Halas/McCaskeys  threw nickels around like they were man hole covers or sewer covers for you youngsters out there who may get the wrong definition .

I'm fine with them going to Arlington heights. I just hope they get something done in general.

I'm not too worried about how much they spend. There's a salary cap. Cheapness hasn't really been an issue since that's been introduced.

Agreed , The problem i have is the lack of respect that is giving to the fans they think that they  can just mail it in every week  .I see those people with the the jerseys all the gear all the makeup people dressed like Ditka etc ,etc screaming and yelling before the game starts and bang they defer, and the other team scores 7 to 0 you know how many times that's happened in the last 10 years  and we know the rest of the story,  I can say nothing looks more embarrassing then when the TV cameras show these fans who are  all decked out as i said above, with a team that's always losing. I just think of what i  would do if i was one of those diehard fans who wants to be noticed . It would go like this .Honey let me get this horsefeathers off before we drive home..

Why does this bother you so much?

It’s not cheapness. It’s bad decision making. They spend money.

Right. I guess some people think they cheaped out on the head coach with Eberflus (I think? Please correct me if I'm wrong), but I don't think that was motivated by saving a couple million here or there. They just liked the guy. (Wrongly).

theyve been well below the cap for 2 seasons. they're cheap

do....do you think thats what motivated the decisions the last few years? to save a couple million dollars?

i mean, its...possible. I guess, but I think more they just made bad personnel decisions.

Listen im not a cap expert guy but I have an intuitive understanding that you can't really save money by not meeting the cap. Here's what the robots at Google tell me:

I mean, I guess you could consistently be 10% under the cap if you want to save like, 20 million dollars, but i dont think the Bears are doing that

The "Cheapness" explanation doesn't explain anything: They're just idiots.

it could mean a different things, for sure. But they've had holes on the Oline for 3 seasons now and have yet to spend anything on a decent tackle or guard, Nate Davis was the exception and he was a poor decision. Same for DL really. Sweat is paid well but other than that its been low marquee aquistions like walker

So, again, they've spent, they've just done so poorly.

They also extended Johnson and DJ Moore. And Kmet. They extend people - they just often extend the wrong people or the right people at the wrong age.

The clear philosophy is they have hoped to build through the draft and extend their own guys. The problem is: They haven't drafted super well.

Why because these are good decent people who spend their hard earned money mainly the middle class who has built this Country and to be subjected to inferior product for almost 40 years is disgusting to me not just the Dummies, the Sox worst team in sports history , the Cubs , the Bulls ,the Blackhawks 40 thousand to watch a hapless bunch .Why does it bother me because these teams represent the Country and City i love a Country and City that deserves better and what the middle class the heart of America has given to them there BEST.
