You probably forgot about Bryce Harper who signed at the same age and who's contract in terms of AAV didn't blow the competition away. It wasn't even the highest, but it was the largest contract in history at the time.

Bryce Harper's wRC+ when he hit free agency is about 20 points less than Soto's.  I'm not even telling you that there definitely will not be deferrals in Soto's future deal, but age/number of prime seasons absolutely has an impact on AAV even aside from length.
