Shaw pulled a dong. Hoping he gets some AAA exposure before the end of the year.

He should be there already. I don’t know what is going on.

Matt Shaw up to a .263/.362/.460 line good for a 142 wRC+ and an 18.3K%. Why is he still in AA?

I’m sure it’s just a matter of time. Like literally any day now. He had, what, 2 bad weeks early in the year? Other than that, he’s been everything you could basically hope for in AA.

Pipeline has Alcantara at 63 and Jones at 72

But I've seen blurbs that mention Alcantara is gonna slide and I haven't seen that for Jones. Jones is having a miserable season.

This completely baffles me. The guy has put up a .305/.357/.467 line good for a 143 wRC+ over his last 269 PAs at AA, in an extremely challenging offensive environment, at age 22 and at a premium defensive position where he is graded positively and he's going to slide? Please make it make sense.

It's actually his age 21 season as his birthday is after 7/1

Some places just had him ranked really high because they were anticipating a breakout that's yet to arrive.

Those that love Alcantara as a prospect generally do so because of the power he possesses. But the power he's showing in games is middling. For the prospect-mavens to continue to rank him highly, he's going to have to start converting that raw power into game power. The longer he waits, the more he's gonna slide down lists.

I mean he has a .470 SLG since that 7 game disaster start to the season. That .470 would put him 4th in the Southern league amongst guys with at least 100 ABs. That's slightly ahead of Shaw and Carson Williams.
