If regression to the mean implies anything there should be a big power/run scoring surge for a sustained period soon.  Why not start today?

Looked at the June schedule.  No above .500 teams except the Brewers at the end of the month.  Pretty easy schedule to make up some ground. We even get the W Sox.

Just hope they don’t start Crochett.

I’ve never been accused of being an optimist, but I think the team is turning or already has turned the corner in terms of the offense. They’ve hit the ball well.

They will start producing more soon. I’m not a huge Dansby fan and was pretty skeptical of the signing, but this is who he is. He’s a streaky hitter. It would be nice if he’d start a hot streak.

I think June is going to be kind and then we will be talking about which prospects we don’t want to trade for Alonso.

You're optimistic.

I'm thinking we're right back in it if we sweep the counsell-less brewers this series

It is Memorial Day, not Labor Day. They don’t have to sweep the series. They just have to start hurting and playing beller ball. They have been playing poorly. I get that. But you have been watching baseball as long as I have. Every season even the best teams go through a bad stretch. In all likelihood they are still a team to win a few more games than they will lose this year. Whether that total ends closer to 83 ot 88 remains to be seen. But I am certain they do not have to sweep the Brewers this series. Sure, it would be awesome if they did. But not necessary.

I was trying to show CubinNY I could be as optimistic as he

Because he's an offensive machine? Or because he's gold-gloveish?

Needs to be a sarcasm font. I didn’t catch it. And honestly a post like that wouldn’t surprise me based on the doom and gloom posting lately. It is like this is the first season some have watched baseball. Not you, of course :-).

Because Steele is a LHP that gets lots of ground balls, which means more ground balls to the left side from RHH, which means 3B defense takes on greater importance.

I've heard that. Possibly here? LOL. But I'd rather believe it's because he's an on-base machine. As Dallas Green would say "a grinder"  (blast from ancient times)

If you watched last nights broadcast you’d know it’s because he’s an on base MACHINE
