Takes me back to Damian Miller/Paul Bako, but somehow worse.

My memory is of Miller being pretty decent but I could easily have been measuring him against Bako

Speaking of Amaya....up in a huge spot with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs nursing a 1 run lead and he has a terrible AB.

I'm fast losing my patience for the Cubs catching situation

When I was in my #BanTheDH mode I used to sarcastically say they'll start DHing for catchers or second basemen next, and I'm starting to consider it as a serious proposal

He was not good (and his worst year was thing the Cubs, iirc), but even a .650 OPS seems decent compared to this lot

And he was a good defender

One day this lineup will score a run with RISP, 1st base open, and fewer than 2 outs. One day.

The inability to add on runs in situations with RISP and less than two outs is almost mind blowing.

First 3 hitters got a hit, next 2 hitters started their AB with a 3-1 count, Cubs don’t score

Confounding.
