To this point in the series the Mariners' bats have been true to their YTD form and been pretty solid against lefties while being pathetic against righties.  Even though Castillo is a capital A Ace this game might not be totally out of reach?

I think it's time to try someone else other then Tauchman in the lineup.

Have you watched a single game this year or checked a single box score?

If I created all the game threads this season, the Cubs would be on pact for 120 wins. Just sayin'.

Enlighten me...

First off, the above was probably a little much so apologies there for coming in hot.

But Tauchman has been fantastic this year so my supposition is that you are basing your evaluation entirely off of batting average and (lack of) RBIs.  Tauchman is seeing more than 5 and half pitcher per plate appearance thus far, which is an insane level of grinding.  Anything north of 4 is usually elite over a full season and Tauchman's miles pasy that.  That grinding has gotten him to a .419 OBP.  He's had 4 games getting on base multiple times and only one game this year he hasn't gotten on at all.  Like yeah he's not a huge power threat but this is absolutely ideal bottom of the order production.

Boog is fine. Pat is a little dry, but he’s pleasant. I just wish Boog wouldn’t flirt with Taylor as obnoxiously as he does.

Wish that guy had just given Tauchman the double and saved himself from that injury. Tauchman just keeps giving nothing but good ABs.

I wouldn't say fantastic,  5 of those 8 walks came in his first 13 PA..

He's been ok, just wouldn't mind seeing a little more productive bat in there, im guessing Wisdom will be that guy once he returns.

I’m guessing Tauchman still get a lot of AB even when Wisdom comes back. That is, if he keeps getting on base. Wisdom will play when a lefty pitches. Hard to argue with a .400 OBP. If/when that drops maybe then we see more Wisdom.

I had actually stopped watching Baseball at the end of 2019, Covid hit and then I didn’t watch any Baseball until I got back into it around September last year and then this year. So I went from Len/JD playing off each other and Kelly Crull to the new crew. It’s been a bit jarring.
