I can't believe Campbell passing on points and going on 4th there; if I'm a Lions fan, that's gonna gnaw at me for a loooonnngg time.

Well, since I definitely won't be watching the superbowl, I hope they talk about Taylor Swift non-stop all game, and cut to her between every play just to piss the meatheads off. Maybe advertise it as the Taylor Bowl.

Never mind

I don't know if it's possible for me to care less about this Superbowl. It's the equivalent of a Dodgers/Astros World Series. There is no outcome I'll get any joy from.

I'd agree, apart from a playoff bestball lineup I have that is set up to do some real damage.  I got three entries into the finals of a contest on Underdog.  Only one of them has a shot at first (150k), and it's going to be uber-chalk...apart from having MVS and Jauan Jennings.  I'll give more details when they release all the lineups that advanced later this week.  Then I'll have a better idea of what my chances are.  But a Mahomes/CMC/Pachecco/Kelce/Rice/MVS/Jennings lineup (where only 1 QB, 1RB, 2 WR/TE and 1 Flex count) covers a LOT of squares.  Because of the way the contest was structured and the ADP was, large SF stacks were very difficult to draft and then advance from the first week (since they didn't play/score points).

The Brock Purdy story is pretty cool I think. I guess people are tired of the 49ers but I don't feel any particularly way about them.

I feel like each time someone disrespects Brock Purdy's talent to grouse about how good his surrounding cast is, it powers him up to throw more miraculous-off-the-DBs-facemask catches to one of his receivers. So, I fully expect him to play well enough to win, and for everyone to disparage him and dismiss him when he's Super Bowl MVP.

It has a chance at being a great game but I feel the same way.

There’s always the Puppy Bowl.

I have too many Chiefs fans in my social media feeds and I want them to lose badly so I don't have to see any more of their BS for a while.

Purdy validates the meatballs, and it seriously annoys me about him, even though it's not his fault.  Dozens of QBs each season end up drafted in late rounds or go undrafted, and yet, to hear certain people tell the tale (be it online, in print, or on the radio), it should be super easy finding the next Tom Brady or Brock Purdy among those QBs!  In reality, the vast majority of those guys are lucky to end up on a practice squad going into opening day the year they're drafted.

I also will gleefully abuse my banning authority if anyone seriously compares Tyson Bagent with Purdy around here.  Not a joke, just a fact.

That's certainly one way to determine who to root for.  A peculiar one, but I also think social media is a huge skidmark in general, so I generally just laugh at people that get so bothered by it... yet still go on it.

Agreed! It's pretty low risk and low cost to continuously look for QB prospects you might like in the later rounds.

I'd also put a premium on guys who were super productive in college but maybe didn't hit the measurables super well. I think we're seeing that pure number of snaps is a pretty decisive advantage for QB prospects. The more they play, the more they've had to adjust to defenses, the more looks they've had pre-snap, the line calls they've had to make, etc. etc. etc - all great advantages.

I will always be far more reticent want to draft a QB who only played 1 year as a starter, no matter how impressive they look.
