The Brewers have put 12 balls in play today with a .400 xBA or higher.  And we're in the 3rd inning

Also the Cubs have 5 of their own, but only 1 has fallen for a hit (the HR)

I would say he came in fat and out of shape (which he did), but he had a great spring. As soon as they came North he sucked eggs.

Got to give the brewers credit . They know how to put good baseball teams together . Cubs starters will need to do better than what they done for most of the 2nd half . If they don’t they will get destroyed  by these teams

These horsefeathers haven't hit ALL YEAR. Of course they all put it together two weeks ago

They're on the streak the Cubs went on after the break..

If he can keep it to 3 or 4 runs over 6 innings, I'll be pretty thrilled.

6 IP, 4 ERs....probably need to aim a little higher next time.

What the hell is Miley doing that's causing all this weak contact? It's so annoying

Is he? Seems like the Cubs are hitting him fairly well.

but anyways getting weak contact is exactly what has kept Miley in the league for so long so not sure why you’d be surprised

He has induced approximately 137 ground balls to shortstop

Nothing but 2 solo home runs against Miley.  Taillon was bad, but we needed a lot more offense either way.

Back of the envelope map says Miley has gotten 18 outs without a double play and only one strikeout. And we have 4 hits, two that left the yard. So I believe our BABIP is 2/19 on the day. Not going to comment on the contact quality, but there's a fair amount of bad luck (and good defense) baked in there regardless.

Good defense is kind of what the Brewers do.
