Recency bias with Boyd. He’s actually been nails for us, but had a bad start in game 1. And MIL not some juggernaut that showed up game 1 and 2. I’m looking for a 15-18 out start from Boyd.

The big question today is does counsell make a move with his starting lineup? I'm in favor of starting the day with Nico, Turner, Seiya - then replacing Turner with Buschy immediately.

Sounds like Horton is still on track for next week and will throw tomorrow..... Doesn't sound like we will know anything until after he throws and responds the next day.

Ryno was a legend. My dad and I went to his last game in STL. I can still remember sitting behind 3rd base and right behind his family. When he was pulled in the middle of the game, he waved to his wife/family and it felt like he was waving to me. Such a cool moment to be apart of. Ryno, you will be missed and thank you for all the great memories.

Still a really long time to go, but if Diamondbacks and Braves fall out of it, what do you guys think about Gallen or Sale? Think those teams would make them available? Sale is interesting as he has a club option for 2026 at $18M.

Probably not a chance to break camp with the Cubs, but I think Matt Shaw forces his way quickly (June) and makes an immediate impact.

I hate that I'm even asking this because stuff like this never works out, but how much of a factor is the next free agent class in determining aggressiveness in signing the 4 Boras clients? For example, signing Bellinger takes us out on Soto, Alonso, Bregman etc Signing Snell takes us out on Burnes, Fried, Buehler, etc

If Morel's bat is stable in 2024, (120+) and he could be average at 2nd, I would potential look to trade Nico. I know it's highly unlikely, but that's what I would explore.

I'm not great on player values and potential trade values, but that would be light and Cle wouldn't even consider it. PCA, Brown, Morel might even be light. -
