I'm pretty happy with this offseason. Now they can sit and wait for another move to improve where they feel necessary. Might be able to grab a good young pass rusher off of someone's practice squad or sign a vet that hasn't found a team or a camp casualty if they still want to add depth to that position. Patience allowed them to wait out Yannick for a one year deal.

Yeah, I think this has been a pretty good offseason. I'm thinking A- given the trade for the #1 pick. But combined with the F- from last offseason, this just gives Poles a solid C overall.

I'd still like OL depth and safety depth.

I was thinking about the recent struggles of the O vs D. It actually might be indicative of a pretty good secondary for the Bears forcing the the skill players on offense to step up their game. At least that’s my optimistic take.

So you think that Vildor won’t stick as the 4 or 5 corner? I do like Blackwell and Jones. Maybe they trade vildor for something? Pick swap kid of thing?

And you think they cut the other DE, Green? I don’t think he’d return anything but I’d be surprised to see him cut for TLewis, though someone may want to snipe him. May not make it to the practice squad

You're asking questions already answered by my post. I don't think Vildor or Green have trade value. Not saying they both wouldn't be added to 53-man rosters right away, but I went with guys with potential team control beyond this year over 2 pending FAs as the 5th CB and DE.

Same. Ultimatley the success or failure will be determined by how good they are at identifying talent (and how good Justin Fields is).  But I like their approach to apparent value.

Guessing we won’t see Claypool at all in the preseason now and the best hope is Week 1 return. At least he got a couple weeks of practice in to increase his chemistry with Fields and the offense

Is the severity of the injury confirmed? That seems a bit extreme. Or are you saying Claypool is a goldbricker?

I just think if it’s anything hamstring related they are going to be super cautious and let it fully heal given it’s the preseason

So the OL got embarrassed today and twice *ahem*, Rasheem Green, blew past Darnell Wright for "sacks".

I feel like no matter the circumstances that sentence should never be factual. That is unacceptable IMO.

All that Twitter discourse about how the offense struggling in practice means the defense is actually good…

*yes an overreaction but w/e
