On a Twins note; super excellent uniform update ya'll had.  I feel like teams across sports are aiming to do exactly what you did this year; create a sort of...fauxback that looks like it fits in the overall identity without feeling overly minimalistic.  Only thing I wish is that they kept the Minne and Paul logo on the sleeve (as I believe they ditched that).

They did ditch Minnie & Paul on the uniforms, though it's still all around Target Field so part of the Twins branding.

I love the new uniforms and think it's hilarious the Twins designed one of the best City Connect uniforms (their alternate Twin Cities gear) before Nike could come in and design an abomination that everyone dislikes.

Ugh, how I despise that Wrigleyville nonsense we wear on Fridays.

As mediocre as those unis are, they're not even in the bottom third of the CC jersey set (hey Rockies and Red Sox).

The bar is so incredibly low.  Baltimore's uniforms are black with what feels like Times New Roman "BALTIMORE" on them...and the only interesting design element is inside the damn thing!  What are you doing, Nike?

We used to have a mod that was called 1908 I'm pretty sure.  No relation?

I was a long time mod on PSD.  Over a decade...I think I've been modding the Cubs forum on PSD since...2010 or so.  Under the same screen name as here.

First time joining NSBB on anything more than a stop-by.  I created this account a few years ago but never seriously posted here.

It’s a kind of a shame PSD is dying and couldn’t hold on until the trade deadline.
This looks like a nice landing spot. Thanks for the welcome.

For all the PSD alum, did Marlin Bystro ever make anymore appearances?  That guy was money.

Any plans for an app?

Any app we build would have to be custom-built by us. Maybe that's possible but we'd need a few more (profitable) sites to warrant the cost of building that, which would easily go into tens of thousands of dollars.

With the change over, especially to Jed Hoyer, there seemed to be a very big drop off on his information.  He'd pop in here, or there, but much of it felt...laced with animosity.  I always had a belief his connection was with Randy Bush, and I feel more confident in that assessment...it was under Hoyer, and in 2021, that Bush was removed from the FO and transitioned into a "senior advisor role".  It would make sense as to Bystro's...distaste for Hoyer and his seemingly drying up information well.

With that said, dude was a legitimate "insider" back in the day and had very real information.  No one on the planet could have called Hayden Simpson in the first round, and he nailed a handful of others.  It was fun to have that connection.,

I will always remember him calling the Hayden Simpson pick when literally nobody had ever even heard of the kid.

First post here. Joined here by recommendation from Cubs fans at PSD. It’s very sad to see a platform shut down that you’ve spent years and years on. I expect many people to join here from there, which will be nice. I’ll be happy to see friendly faces from PSD here, well friendly names lol, but I will also enjoy interacting with new Cubs fans.

What's up JD?  I'm checking this place out also!  Glad to see a familiar face right away.  It's going to take some time to get used to a new format.  At my age, I don't like change!  I know for a fact that we'll be chatting!

What's up NSBB, and PSD alum!  I've been on PSD since 2006.  I've seen guys come and go for one reason or another.  PSD was the first site on logged on in the morning to check out what I missed when I was sleeping.

I'm going to have to get used to a new format simply because it's different.  It's great to see some names that I've spoken to for many years about the Cubs.  Some topics we agreed on, but most we didn't.  But honestly, that's ok.  There's not a lot of interest or fun when everybody is blowing each other on how much they agree with each other.

Let's get this party started!

It's funny, I've known about PSD for years but never really visited.  What you said about PSD is exactly what my experience has been like for NSBB over the last 20 years.  It's kind of like that default site I go to when I am browsing the internet.

We've had to get used to the new format too having gone through a massive board overhaul a few months ago.  Now we can get used to it together.

Also trust me, you won't have to worry about a lot of overagreeing or anything here.  Posters here are not afraid to disagree with each other and do frequently.  It can get a little heated at times but rarely toxic.  Probably because a big portion of the board has been arguing with each other for 10+ years.

Glad to see you, Thaw! It’s like a big ole’ family reunion in here lol. I also hate change, but I’m just thankful we had a good landing spot. It’ll take a little while to get used to this format, but it seems very active with a lot of passionate fans like ourselves. Can’t wait to discuss Cubs baseball with you and everybody else.
