The crowd seems to be popping, which is fun!  I was hoping the broadcast would show us more crowd shots, but I'm not noticing any.

My friend is at the game (I was supposed to go but had a work conflict) he said it’s a really fun atmosphere and definitely more Cubs than Cardinals fans

Announcer says the Cardinals weren’t respecting the power to RF from Madrigal because they were playing in. I wasn’t aware Madrigal had power to any field.

It would be really fun if the Cubs and Reds continued to battle for the division the rest of the season. The Cubs and Reds have been in the same division since 1995 and I don’t believe we’ve ever battled with them for a playoff spot or division. Everytime we’ve been good they’ve been bad and vice versa. 
 

of course what I’d really prefer is the reds cool off and the cubs stay hot and win the division easily.

Some 2007 vibes with this team. Not in terms of the baseball played because they are very different but the offseason signings, bad start, mediocre division keeps us in the conversation and then they get hot and then turn the season around (hopefully)
