He’s improved over his last 4 starts. Earlier he was going less than 5 innings and giving up 3+ runs a game. Now he’s consistently going at least 5 but still giving up crooked numbers. Basically he’s improved enough to be considered a mediocre 5th starter, not the above average 3rd starter we signed

Obviously it’s in not a bad result to win 2 of 3 from the Orioles but they are also the kind of series that we need to finish off when they win the first 2 to make up for the hole we built for ourselves. 
 

We had a chance to sweep each of the 3 best teams in the AL and dropped the final game against all 3 (barring 9th inning comeback).
