wRC+ (NL rank)

Hoerner (19)

Swanson (22)

Happ (16)

Suzuki (would be tied for 5th)

Bellinger (14)

Wisdom (5)

I know it's "too early" to bring up Mervis, Morel and Velazquez, but there would have to be some added value in doing it while the majority of the lineup is performing at this absurd level.

Mervis would have an obvious home at 1B, but you'd have to choose between Morel & Velazquez for DH.

I would've guessed we would see Madrigal, but then again Waluigi isn't striking anyone out so far so maybe a good time to test out Wisdom's limits while he's riding high.

I thought it was weird yesterday they they had Wisdom at DH and Madrigal at 3B. Have they decided Madrigal is the better fielder?  Or are they just instinctively unable to put Madrigal at DH and live with themselves?

Given Hoerner’s history of injuries, if Madrigal is going to keep hitting, I wouldn’t mind seeing Madrigal spelling Hoerner at 2B and Hoerner DHing maybe once every 8-10 games or so.

Not sure what it says in the forecast, but a nice little hailstorm turned snowstorm rolled through the near western suburbs about 45 minutes, so conditions should be pretty dicey. Don't think it'll get delayed or anything, just might get a little weird.

I feel a little bad that the pitch clock has made it harder for the sideline reporters to do their segments, but like you can't spend a whole horsefeathering half inning in split screen talking to some douche in a pink jacket

Cubs runs scored the day after scoring 8+ runs this year:

This comment is not making any statements about the offense today as they’ve only batted 3 times and scored a run. Just a strange phenomenon that feels like it has happened to the Cubs a lot over the years.

Passable performance for Wesneski. Only 1 K which is strange and some hard hit balls but he hung in there and prevented any big innings.

Note: I’ve only listened to the game so my opinion may be way off

How long does this wesneski guy stay in rotation with these results? Does he have options if/when Hendricks returns?

He has options.  When/if Hendricks is ready, and if everyone else in the rotation is healthy, Wesneski will almost certainly be the guy who gets sent down.

Well I guess you aren't going to hold the Dodgers to 0-2 runs every game.  Hope we come back but if we don't I have confidence that Stro can earn us a split tomorrow and win the season series vs LA
