Guess its time for a new game thread. Bears 9 point dogs at home. Hoping for another electric Fields performance. While losing would be greatly beneficial, it would be nice to see him and the offense manage to keep pace with Philly for most of the game.

Eagles run D isn't great in terms of YPC. Actually, it's 24th in the league. Their pass D is amazing though. But to be fair they haven't exactly faced a Murderer's Throw of QBs. Faced Detroit week 1 when they weren't good yet. Vikings Week 2. But since then it's been:

Wentz, Lawrence (again not on a roll yet when they played), Kyler, Cooper Rush, Pickett, Mills, Ryan, Rodgers, Tannehill, Jones.

I do think the Bears will be able to hang around most of the game. Coming off a bye, at home, game sandwiched between 2 division rivals (NYG last week, Dallas next). But the Eagles will likely pull away late. If it is close in the 4th and the Bears do lose, I surely hope it's because the Eagles pulled away late and not because of an overanalyzed late offensive drive and Fields trying to come back with a bad OL and XFL WRs.

35-20 Philly.

Bears unable to stop the Eagles in the red zone so the FG kicker is relegated to XP duty.

Fields able to make a couple big plays for 2 TDs, Bears able to run the ball decently but bogged down in the red zone / Eagles territory too often to remain competitive.

A game where we are able to say it would've been a no-TD day if not for Fields.

30-28 Bears. Philly looks past the Bears the week after a bye and with a 2 game lead on the conference, lets up just enough offensively to give the Bears a huge lead, and despite their best efforts the Bears fail to let Philly all the way back.

I'll pull the homer vote, Bears 35-23

Basically, Hurts strains his knee early 3rd quarter, Fields shines

If Eagles only put up 23, Hurts got hurt way before the 3rd.

Also please don't get hurt Hurts. My fantasy team needs you.

I said EARLY 3RD

Yeah, that's why I've been pretty adamant about thinking they will win a game. It's probably good for the overall morale and future of the team. And frankly, Fields deserves to celebrate a win after all he has done the last couple months. But also, I don't think it will make a big difference anyway.

I know everyone wants the 2nd pick for this huge trade haul, but there's always been a couple issues with that, IMO. One, people are operating under the assumption that Seattle and/or Detroit were going to trade up for a QB, and they appear to be good with what they have. Two, they were never going to trade their multiple 1sts to move up 1-2 spots anyway. Three, these QBs may not even be worth trading up for. Young is considered QB1, but he's tiny in height and bulk. I've seen people have Stroud as QB1 over Young because he has decent NFL size, but he's nowhere near the prospect Fields was, and he went 11th. Levis has the measurables, but meh performance on the field. Best chance was always Carolina or Indianapolis trading up, and that would take away Bears' fans dreams of trading down and still getting Anderson or Carter.

That, and even if they ended up at 5 or 6, missing out on Anderson and Carter, they're still gonna be in a great spot, and have already probably stole two tank losses, that would have then put them picking in the early to mid teens had they eked out wins.

Basically, everything about this season is already a success. I am obsessively tracking the tank effects, but if they win 1 or 2 the next three weeks, I'm not upset in the least. As others have said, I'd only be a little annoyed if they get a pointless win against a resting Minny. But if they beat a full strength Minny and maybe spoiled their seeding, that too would be fun!

Looks like Justin Fields did not practice today due to illness. My fantasy teams needs him to go this week. It's horsefeathering playoffs!

Luckily I'm on a bye or I'd be in panic mode too. Brady and Dak have pretty much sucked for me.

If Fields plays. Bears 24 Eagles 23. Fields takes the Bears 85 yards down 6 points to victory in the waning seconds. Draft pick be damned.

I will be in attendance for some damn reason

Hurts is going to absolutely torch this defense; I see no way they keep the Eagles under 30. Fields is going to have to carry them with his legs to make this even competitive.

38-21.

This. No QB pressure against Hurts spells disaster. You give him time to hit one of this three main targets and they will light up the scoreboard. I just hope Fields does a great job trying to keep them in the game. I managed a wild card fantasy berth because of Fields. Need a win this week to make it to the money.

Brisker would probably be the only Bear to start for Philly (maybe Gill too).

Cody Whitehair has a higher PFF grade than the Eagles LG, Landon Dickerson. Teven Jenkins is better than Seomalu, the Eagles RG.

But yeah, you're looking at Jenkins, Brisker and right now Kmet because their TE is on IR. I also think Montgomery is a better player than Miles Sanders, but Sanders is the better fit in both schemes (if that makes sense).
