the worst possible thing would be peterman leading them to a win

I'm just imagining Poles running to midfield waving his arms frantically yelling "Stop the show!" like he's Uncle Leo

Every Bear that means anything for the future got hurt today. Fields, Sanborn, Johnson and Jenkins.

St. Brown waives his hand and doesn't get answered.

Fields 10-16, 98 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT, 100.5 QB rating. Really wish we could get him more passing attempts but it just wasn’t happening with the Eagles pass rush and no WRs of note

That last brown catch gave me a 5 point bonus for going over 175 yards. Had to resist pumping my fist because it cost the bears the game

Given the competition, that was pretty clearly the defense's best game of the year right? Between that and Fields chalk up another tank win, though I obviously don't love all the injuries.

Can we blame this on Santos for missing the XP, which caused the Eagles to go for 2, making the refused FG attempt the difference in the the game? Or do we absolve him because we saw Elliott miss a gimme FG later on?

He has missed plenty in decent weather games.

yea, Santos is garbage

Is Santos basically early career Gould? Accurate, but mostly because you can't try hard kicks with him. Gould eventually became all around good.

But Santos is already 31, so it's not like he's a development guy.

Spending on a K would be pointless, but absolutely bring on some young camp legs.

I wouldn't spend FA on an elite K but with the picks, they should draft one and/or best undrafted one.

Fields' QBR today was a subpar 40.2 which surprises me. Does taking sacks play into that rating? Fumbling but not losing the fumble?

I thought he played a fine game overall. Took 6 sacks but will be interested to see how many of them were on the line and how many on him. No dangerous throws that I can remember though he mostly stuck to short passes today. Had those 2-3 inaccurate short passes which has been a problem for him (but not really as much lately). Still some stuff to clean up but solid performance against an elite D

I didn’t see a subpar QB today. I saw a QB almost nothing to work with and still making plays. Probably a good reason that football stats aren’t as meaningful as baseball stats.

I'd guess the sacks and don't forget two fumbles. I'm hoping/assuming it's not opponent adjusted, because those things are bad but against the Eagles some of that's just gonna happen.

QBR takes into account the difficulty of the opponent. QBR is incredibly complex and sacks are a huge part as they have a very large negative impact on EPA.
