WTF is happening with OSU?

It's funny, their computer metrics never got that bad, at least as bad as you'd expect an 11-18 team to be. They seemed like a team that was playing well below their talent level. I guess the decided to wait until the last week of the regular season to get it together.

How do you even seed an 18-18 Big Ten champion Ohio State with 6 Q1 wins, 5 of them coming after March 1st.

Zed Key being out probably helps them. Different style of basketball being played. Thornton and Gayle playing amazing right now. Probably ends tomorrow against Purdue, as Edey should eat them alive.

I thought today was the day that PSU would run out of steam.

I'm guessing Purdue beats them by 15 tomorrow

I hate the way Pickett takes the air out of the ball. So much dribbling, backing people down from half court. Yet IU has seen it for 2 games and can't do anything about it so I wouldn't stop either.

In the game last night, I kinda got depressed watching. A lot of talk about Hood-Schifino leaving for the NBA after this season by the announcers. I guess it never really crossed my mind that he could leave this year. LOL. He's obviously an NBA talent, but I figured he would come back with his buddy Reneau and go back to his natural 2-guard role (though he is a combo guard). Work on increasing his range a bit more out to the 3pt line. He's projected in the late 20s or early 30s, so I just assumed he'd come back and try to become a lottery pick.

For a minute, I forgot what thread I was in. Thought you were saying the steelers let air out of the ball so that Pickett can hold it with one hand.

It's rare that I venture outside of NFL talk, so I get it. LOL

The bubble is so incredibly bad that Wisconsin is being prominently mentioned as one of the 3-4 teams in consideration for the last spot. No bid stealers, almost every bubble team losing early in conference tournaments.

Illini fans can enjoy the fact that Michigan blowing a 7 point lead with 1:49 left in OT is keeping Michigan from being right in this discussion. Of course there were another 3-4 Michigan collapses of similar ridiculousness that also could have Michigan in the discussion too (like blowing a 5 point lead with less than a minute left vs Iowa, scoring 0 points in the final 5 minutes of a 1 point loss to Indiana and blowing a double digit lead with 9:30 left at Indiana)

It’s on guys.

The key against Illinois is to dress in PSU uniforms. Then they don't start playing until there's 2 minutes left.

Maybe I'm biased here because of how well they've played against Purdue, but Rutgers got robbed by being left out. I'm blown away they were left out. I have to imagine they only wanted so many Big Ten teams in and Penn State effectively pushed them out with the BTT run.

That being said, I'm glad to not have to take the chance to face them again. They were a matchup nightmare. I am not thrilled with the second round draw likely to be Memphis...

Big Ten teams that didn't make it: Michigan, Ohio State, Rutgers, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin

Two years ago you would have said that was crazy

I have a feeling the Big 12 will be this year's version of the past couple years of the B1G's "clearly the best conference, but the regular season kind of inflated every team's profile" and teams ended up a bit overseeded and will disappoint in the tournament.
