A quick summary on Edwards that I found:

T.J. Edwards' transformation in recent years has been remarkable. Two seasons ago, he was seen as a big liability. He had a solid 2021 campaign, however, and then was viewed as just a capable starter. However, Edwards became one of the best linebackers in the NFL last year. He was stellar in both run support and coverage. Edwards is still in his mid-20s, so it'll be interesting to see if he continues to improve his game.

I kinda get that there's no much out there and we need bodies, but I really hate this whole tackles who get ragdolled in pass protection paradigm.

You watched that one clip too huh?

You're going to keep harping on this idea that I came up with the idea that McGlinchey is bad at pass-blocking out of thin air, and for once I'm simply going to let it go.

To be fair, there is analysis out there that portrays McG as an overmatched tackle when you line him up against the Micah Parsons of the NFL, but who isn't? That being said, he's still the top RT in FA. I'd rather sign Brown and draft Skoronski, but the Bears need to get whomever they can get at this point

If we just take the rumors as gospel, adding McGlinchey, Seumalo, Okereke, and one of the top DTs to Edward's would use up most of the Bears' cap space, while emphatically filling every glaring hole on the roster except Edge Rusher.

I would absolutely buy that being plan A.

Nah, there will still be meat on bone even after those hypotheticals. Deals will be backloaded and they'll still have a bit of cash shortfall. Add two median edges or Edge+CB (?) and I think you'd about be there then.

Good news Kyle

LOL. I have to admit Kyle's doom boner scared me off a bit, only because I really have no OT evaluating skills.
