Currently in the championship, leading by 10 with our QBs left to play tomorrow, Burrow for me and Allen for my opponent. Winner gets 500.

I'm curious how many people are in a similar spot as this, looking at the status of the game right now. It should be cancelled, even if it costs people thousands of dollars in fantasy winnings.

In the championship of my league and I needed Josh Allen to score a fraction of a point to win, which he has 2.72 now. If the game gets wiped out, I'd lose by 0.03 points. So yeah I am in that situation. Not winning or losing any sizable sum of money either way though.

In my King Of The mountain, one guy still had Allen, Mahomes, Henry, Jefferson and Kelce among others. I commented here that I wondered how he made it this far without all those guys. Well, he went with Jefferson and Allen this week. He’s currently in last place since Jefferson only had one catch.

Allen was going to get him above the cut line with a full game. Now they are talking about playing it out I. Another day. Interesting.

In that best ball contestI mentioned, the guy currently in the lead is a YouTuber that I kind of follow. Imagine being in his situation, or any of the dozen players that have a shot of overtaking him.

The game reset for this week and the guy who went with Allen, Etienne and Jefferson this week is out. Etiienne was his only early Sunday guy and he ran for over 100 yards, 30 receiving yards and a touchdown. He must be losing his mind right now.

Looking over the final 4 team available rosters, I put myself in probably in 3rd place as far as talent still available, but I just can't finish in last place in any of these last 3 weeks.

Team A

QB- Geno Smith, Daniel Jones, Lawrence, Mac Jones, Purdy, Huntley

RB- Pollard, J. Williams, A. Jones, Harris, Stevenson, Elliott, Walker, McKinnon

WR- D. Smith, Kirk, Evans, Lockett, Aiyuk, Higgins, Watson, Cooper, Moore

Team B

QB- M. Jones, Purdy, Huntley, Watson

RB- Pollard, J. Williams, A. Jones, Harris, Elliott, Fournette, McKinnon

WR- Waddle, Cooper, D. Smith, Evans, Aiyuk, Watson, McLaurin, Moore

Team C

QB- Burrow, Geno, Cousins, Purdy, M. Jones

RB- Sanders, J. Williams, Etienne, Elliott, Walker, Conner, McKinnon

WR- Kelce, AJ Brown, Cooper, D. Smith, Evans, Aiyuk, Kirk, McLaurin, Godwin

Team D

QB- J. Allen, Rodgers, Jackson, M. Jones, Purdy

RB- Sanders, J. Williams, Etienne, Mixon, Walker, Fournette

WR- Cooper, D. Smith, Evans, Lockett, Aiyuk, Higgins, Kirk, Metcalf

There are other players available to each of these teams, but these are mostly top scorers or playoff likely teams. Team C and Team D are the strongest. Mine is Team A. I might have even missed listing a player or two that might be impactful here or there as I threw this together rather quickly. Team B is hurting real bad for playoff QB's. Oddly, no team has used Davanta Smith.

As of now, my line up is set with Lawrence, Najee Harris, and Christian Kirk for this week. Might still make changes, but I feel like that line up has a good chance of getting me to the first week of playoffs. Sure would be nice if they paid top 3 or 4 instead of just one.

I would consider Davanta over Kirk for anti-correlation reasons. I know you are considering what WR will be available for the final week, but you have to get there first. In the final week, because you are going to be lower on talent, you will probably switch to wanting correlation and Purdy (with Aiyuk) might be your only option at QB. It's close either way. But I'd definitely play Walker over Harris.

It's good info. I'll definitely consider it. Going with Lawrence is me making the statement that I need to get to the playoffs to even have a chance the rest of the way. I probably won't commit to anyone until Saturday when I can read up on who is playing, who is expected to do well against their opponent and who is or isn't handcuffed at their position. I'm hosting a football party on Sunday, so it would be nice to not have all of my guys going at the same time on Sunday at noon. Actually, if I switched to Walker and Smith, I wouldn't have anyone playing at noon, so that might work. I do like the Purdy/Aiyuk idea. There's also the possibility of Garrapalo coming back, or Minshew having to sub back in because Hurts came back too early and hurt himself again. So I do like the idea of a strong line up to get me to the next week and then worry about the next week when I actually have to.

Since both the Bills and Bengals are playing starters today, our league commish decided to just take the week 18 points for the players on those teams to decide the championship.

In our league we decided to split the pot.

I'm out at 4th place. Damn!

I probably squeak in if I stay with Harris and Kirk. They both got touchdowns. It was fun, but happy the Bears got first pick in the draft.

So I went in and did the calculating on my original line up, and I would have finished in 2nd in points if I stayed with Lawrence, Harris and Kirk. It's a bit saddening, but it was probably only delaying the inevitable. One team still had Burrow, Cousins and Purdy for the final two weeks, along with Etienne, Sanders, at RB and Kelce, AJ Brown and D. Smith to name a few at WR.

I was getting weaker by the week with my remaining players. First time trying this. I'll definitely do it again. Next time, I'll figure out a way to keep better players for the playoffs. And of course, get knocked out earlier in the event. LOL.

No runner up prizes for all that?

Nope. One payout. $25k for first. It should pay out to top 4 or 8, IMO. I think next year I'll get 4 other buddies together and we'll team up and split the winnings if we win. Each invest in about 8 teams each.

I'm crushed. If I stuck with Christian Kirk and Najee Harris last week, I would have made it to the final 3. My lineup this week would have been Daniel Jones, Kenneth Walker and Tee Higgins. I'd be currently sitting in first place this week with 47.3 points with this remaining:

Team A: Cousins, Etienne, Godwin 39.85 with Godwin still to play

Team B: Skylar Thompson, Joe Mixon, Mike Evans 20.9 with Evans still to play

Team C: Thompson, Pollard, Evans 15.3 with Evans still to play

For the championships, I would have had Purdy, Pollard or McKinnon if Dallas loses, and Davonta Smith or Aiyuk vs:

Team A: Burrow

One of Sanders, Elliott, Walker, McKinnon

One of Kelce, AJ Brown, D. Smith, Evans, Aiyuk, Kirk

And yes, I shall torture myself by seeing if I would have won.

The finals of the King of the Mountain somehow ended up being:

Team A: Purdy, McKinnon, Kelce

Team B: Purdy, McKinnon, Samuel

Samuel will have to top Kelce's 22.5 points since the other two guys are a wash. Interestingly enough, Team A didn't go with Burrow, who already has 2 TD passes in the first half. I'm guessing Team A didn't want to deal with the weather.

With that said, my line up in the finals this week would have been Purdy, Pollard and Davonta Smith. Smith did quite well in his game, and Tony Pollard would only need to get me 6.3 points for the $25K. That's basically a 3 yard TD run or catch. Or 63 yards rushing/receiving. If only I hadn't made that change in the first week of playoffs. Damn!

I do. I feel bad for Pollard though. I do still have good news. My playoff bracket is still perfect after the first two weeks. Just need Cincy to beat San Fran in the Super Bowl for a perfect bracket.

If watching my favorite football team horsefeathers the bed week after week isn't enough, I have the 2nd most points in my entire fantasy league (12 teams) by a significant amount, and my team will be sitting out the playoffs. We even have a 6 team playoff format, and my team still didn't make it. 6 wins and 8 losses. Meanwhile, the top team in my division is currently 11-2 with one more player going tonight that can make him 12-2. I currently have outscored his team by over 100 points. I split our head to head matchup with him,

It was kinda like the Bears outscoring the opposition overall, but losing games. Good times.

I think you’re on the right track with Javonte and Fields as your keepers. Javonte in the 10th is a steal, and while Fields is a gamble, like you said, his rushing upside in a Superflex league could be huge.
