Oh and btw Pujols has a 135 wRC+ right now because of course he does.

Who could've predicted that besides literally anyone

If it makes you feel better, that's mostly a product of him exclusively playing against LHP, and going 7 for 19 w/ a 2B and 2 HR in his first 5 games. Since those first 5 games his line is .143/.314/.179 for a 66 wRC+

Old Man Chavez gave up a walk off shot to Hiura. I know that we aren't in their league anymore but I just hate the horsefeathering Brewers about as much as most of you hate the Cardinals. Plucky [expletive].

This Mets/Giants game is nuts. The Giants had an 8-2 lead at one point, then the Mets scored 7 runs in the 8th to take an 11-8 lead. The Giants came right back in the bottom off the 8th and tied the game on a Joc Pederson home run (his 3rd of the game). The teams have a combined 22 runs and 33 hits so far.

Just watched the condensed game. That's gonna be one of the best games of the regular season for sure.

Daulton Varsho bunted for a single to lead off the game vs Hunter Greene. Then he got caught stealing 2nd and Greene set down the next 20 batters in a row before the rain came and the game was called after 7 innings. That's Greene's 2nd start of 7 IP with 1 or less hits allowed. His ceiling is tremendous.

I can't remember which game it was but didn't a Cardinal player attempt to do something similar against the Cubs in the series they just played? I seem to remember one of their player running through second on a force out and nearly trucking Madrigal.

Last night I was watching the Rays vs Yankees game and the Rays out the craziest shift on for Joey Gallo. Four outfielders, third baseman playing at SS, second baseman in short right. First baseman hugging the line. There was a 100 foot gap between the 3B and 2B, and another 40-50’ between 3B and the line

Dodgers-Rockies game in Coors tonight was 2 hours 19 minutes. Ratings must have been through the rough for pace of play/time of game bringing in new viewers.

What are these Padres uniforms?

Their version of our Wrigleyville uniforms. The vast majority of them, like San Diego's, are at best unnecessary and at worst an affront to good taste

Josh Hader in the ninth with a 3 run lead:

HR

Flyout

HR

1B

HBP

Brewers lose 8-5.

And all three of those homers were absolutely killed. And the one out was solid contact as well. Given his recent stretch if I were a Brewer fan, I'd be...uneasy.

Man, that was terrible throw by Lindor to the plate. I really haven’t seen much of him since Cleveland, but what I have seen is a lot of spotty defense lately.

Does Bob Costas have a lifetime deal to call games for MLBN or something? I don’t think anyone wants to hear him spin tales about baseball cards in bicycle spokes during ABs.
