Wanted to specify in the title that this is NOT the final game of the season, lest I make anyone think that the season is mercifully over. But it is the final home game and the last chance for the home fans to chant 'Fire Nagy'. I think Fields will start but not sure. Interesting subplot is that his old QB rival at UGA Jake Fromm might start for the Giants.

Bears are 6 point favorites somehow

If Fields starts I'm marginally interested in a game where he's not going to just face one of the best teams in the league and get murdered

If not then whatever

Jake Fromm or Mike Glennon, so either way is a storyline. Also, a reporter as Saquan about tearing his ACL in Chicago last year, so I guess that's a storyline as well for a game desperate for one. Dalton practiced in full today. Fields was limited. Jenkins was full too, so hopefully Nagy doesn't F this up and we see Fields, Jenkins, Borom, Graham Jr, Dazz still getting snaps, etc. I wasn't planning on watching because was doing Christmas with the inlaws, but now gonna be quarantined, so I'll be flipping back and forth from this game to the Titans game.

Fields limited again today. These games are meaningless so maybe that’s playing into it but I’m definitely concerned about the multiple injuries that have lingered longer than initially expected.

Remembering back when the Bears were fun to watch:

No other player made me go "no no no yes yes YES!" more than Hester, ever. And the thing is, there likely won't be another Hester because KR are so different now. The last of his kind.

I get being cautious but what a worst case scenario rookie season by Fields. Coaching staff can’t develop him, mediocre performance (clearly with its moments of promise), missing 5 games due to different injuries ruining any momentum he has gotten

The most predictable outcome to a dream scenario that played out perfectly in the draft. #OnlyMyTeams

Just heroic how Nagy has been able to keep his guys playing hard. I’m telling you 7-10 puts him at like a 2% chance of saving his job. Bears org is that fucked up.

Good start

I think Desai showed some inexperience early in the year, but I think he's gotten better as the year has gone along.

Also, the $49M paid to the backup/bridge qb's in this game by the Bears in the past few years is a huge indictment on Pace.

That would have been a sack if defenders were allowed to really hit the quarterback. Since Quinn wrapped him up instead of flooring him, he had a chance to get the football off.

I'm not saying the rule is bad, just that it's a consequence of the change.

Fields officially out today

It's probably for the best, I'm thinking only more harm than good can result from Fields playing for Nagy. Let Nagy get off on doing what he's wanted to do all year, play Dalton and his other worthless veterans hopefully, there's only 7 more quarters left in his Bears head coaching career.

I try not to be a complain about the announcers guy anymore, but these two guys on the CBS call sound like they're sleeping. (I can't say I blame them because it's a terrible game with two terrible teams)

Agreed. They’re whispering into the mic, it’s like listening to NPR
