OSU's big achilles' heels (can't stop the run and pre-snap penalties) reared their ugly heads again, and this time their opponent was good enough to take advantage of them.

For the Illini fans out there, if they can win today to get to 5 wins, it looks like there won't be enough bowl eligible 6-win teams, and priority among 5 win teams goes to the highest academically graded 5-win team, which would be them.

Alabama is losing the iron bowl currently. We may see a CFP without Bama, OSU and Clemson. I think at least 2 of those teams have been in every CFP except 1

Yep. Clemson missed only the first one and Bama missed in the 2019 season.

 

You could also throw Oklahoma in there since they’ve made it four times also, same as OSU.
