Bulls '21-'22 Season Thread

Would love to have him back, but initially on Monday they said they wouldn't evaluate him for at least a week. Hope they are(n't) rushing him back to where he reinjures himself.

 

 

We'll see, looks good putting up some shots here. Obviously being able to shoot in a controlled setting and ramping up to game condition are wildly different states. I do worry about him re-aggravating his injury with his style of play.

 

 

Good. I hate the Heat and this should be a winnable game even with all the injuries/missing players.

I know the Bulls have 0 depth but the Heat are missing 3 rotation players and their best 2 overall players while the Bulls still have 4 of their top 5 players. I was bracing for a loss but figured it would be closer than it is right now.

I’m mostly just saying that they have enough star power to not get blown out of the water or if they did it would be later when depth becomes a bigger issue. If the heat were at full strength, this is an easy blowout. Without Butler and Bam I thought they’d have a shot (and they might still)

This is the worst outbreak among any sports team since at least summer 2020 when a couple college football teams had big ones. By percentage of roster it's probably the worst of them all.

The NBA is insisting the Bulls have 8 healthy players but come on 4 of those guys are not NBA caliber players. Ridiculous to insist they play a game tomorrow for competition issues but also for safety issues

I assume if we don't play it's a forfeit? And I think Coby and one other player (drawing a blank) should be back by tomorrow's game if I read correctly.

If the league postpones it, not a forfeit. If given the choice to forfeit or play the Bulls will play even though playing the Bulls is an excuse to spread COVID to others at this point. Coby might be back, Green seems 1-2 days behind but it’s possible.

Yeah, the Bulls asked for a postponement and the league was like, "Nah. Suit up." I mean, I know it's Detroit, but a team of NBA players will destroy Lonzo, Vooch, 85% healthy Caruso and G-leaguers. And the Bulls have no business losing to Detroit in a normal circumstance

I was going to the game tomorrow (or rather today now) and I wasn't looking forward to watching a depleted Bulls team lose again...

Woo hoo. That means Coby, Green and DeRozan will be back at the very least, possibly Matt Thomas and I think even DJJ has a shot before Sunday. We can actually cobble together a decent lineup know what some degree of depth.
