Sorry Wrigley said something about the Titans run based offense and it got in my head (plus I have AJ brown in fantasy and it’s driving me nuts that they don’t pass more). Nothing wrong with being Ryan Tannehill, but my hopes and expectations for Fields are higher

 

But this year? I wouldn’t mind at all if they let Fields be as productive as Tannehill while still being run based

Sure a Herbert like season would be incredibly boner producing but perhaps just as a point of reference, Josh Allen didn't have his first 300 yard game until week 1 of year 3. Now actually, if it takes Fields THAT LONG, it would be pretty bad since Allen was very raw coming out, but I'm okay giving it until at least the bye week before I get concerned about how much Fields is throwing the ball.

While the defense has done their job of late, both Goff and Carr have missed multiple big throws to open receivers in the last 2 games. Interested to see how the defense looks against Rodgers who doesn’t miss those throws more often than not

I feel like people aren’t paying enough attention to the fact we have a 39 year old who was recently out of football at left tackle and a right tackle who just kinda….sucks. The pass protection has never been better than “middling” in any game.

 

Run blocking wise, however, it’s been impressive. So yeah.

The worst thing about living on the West Coast is I don't get to see a lot of Bears games. I've been reading the comments about the game although I listen to it.

 

 

If you told me in July we would be 3-2 at about this point in the season I would be happy. If you told me that Justin fields would be the starting quarterback at this point I would be happy. Guys I'm happy

One thing has become abundantly clear to me. These coaches have no idea how to use Fields on designed run plays. You don't put a wall of slow linemen in front of him and you don't run him up the gut. That's what you do with slow QBs who can't beat defenders one on one.

Favorite Fields play this week.... converting a 3rd and 12 on a play with 8 defenders dropping back. It was the drive right after the Raiders scored their TD and were down 5. Don't convert and the momentum is squarely on LV's side. Perfect dart through a tight window to Mooney and we get the first down. Drive eventually ends with a FG.

Totally agree. He can build off of those conversions.

Agree. Hoping it's not as bad as "they have no idea" and more that it hasn't yet been worked in.

 

But I have no actual reason to believe it's the latter. Just hope.
