Schwarber has an OBP over .500 and more walks the SOs'

It's been 22 PA's.

Breaking update: since then he's 5-11, 2B, HR, 5 BB 1 K

Javy-Bomb in NY, but the Nats are up 2-1.

Here's a shocker, KB out of the game for SF after 1 AB and a rain delay. He's played/started (and presumably finished) 19 of their 24 games since arriving in SF. So he's missed/come out of 5 games. Not bad. But the Giants have also had 3 off days. Seems like their big FA "get" is not in the lineup maybe as much as he could be. Guess some things never change

Another Javy-Bomb, Mets up 3-2.

And another "not in the lineup" for KB.

KB’s building a rep in the league as not an everyday player - whether it be for minor injuries or otherwise. It seems there is always something. Kinda tough for him to ask for a top tier contract - the market will make the decision for him

This is already the highest WAR season of his career despite 200+ less PAs than his 2nd and 3rd best seasons

That only makes it kinda tough to ask? Interesting

I should’ve said “expect” instead

For what it's worth, I think the Giants have been over the top this year in getting their players a bunch of rest. Of the 138 hitters with a qualified number of ABs, Giants only have 2 (Crawford and Yas). So that's probably playing some part in his frequent off days.

We're probably over hearing about these guys, but screw it I saw this and had to share. I call it: A Hour of Dongs.

Javy's HR at 43:34 is hilarious, I completely forgot he hit the catcher in the head with his bat on the backswing and then apologized as the ball was heading towards the bleachers.
